SECURING OF THE SECOND PROPERTY

I personally have always wanted to go into property, build up my own empire and house the many tenants of the North West and with the help of my better half, we're now one house in, and hopefully many to go.

As some long term readers may know, although I've long since deleted the post because I was not producing top quality blog content back at age twenty two (or even now, but alas, it has improved slightly), I bought my first house back when I was a tiddler, fresh out of uni and desperate to get on the property ladder.

TWO NIGHTS AT THE NORTH STAR CLUB

At the beginning of the month Ryan took me away for a couple of nights to the North Star Club which is located in Sancton, near Beverley in Yorkshire. We stayed in the Star Suite which Ryan picked based on the dark decor, snazzy copper bath and little outdoor sauna, but there are seven other cabins to stay in located around the forest. We went on a trek and managed to find 7/8 and as we were the only two people staying in the 'complex' during the time we were there, took full advantage and had a nosey in each to check out the competition.

Whilst all the suites looked very nice, I was chuffed that Ryan had chosen this particular one because it was definitely the most to my taste. Our suite had the option to sleep six, however, there were some smaller cabins which came with a slightly smaller price tag if you're watching the pennies. I was very lucky indeed to be treated.

WE'RE ALL MOVED IN

My last post on here was back in March, and I was telling you about all the things we (myself and my partner Ryan) had been up to, and most excitingly, that we were in the process of buying a house with plans to rent out my old house in Lancaster.

WELL. First off, we're in our new home. We moved in on 13th April after exchanging on the 12th. We'd initially planned on moving in on the Sunday but alas, we were impatient and so with the helping hands of our parents and a few trips to and from Lancaster, we made it. Two frightened kitties in tow.

THE BLOG IS BACK

Photo from Rightmove (taken by estate agents).

I'd been receiving renewal notices for my blog domain for about three months prior to its expiry on the 5th January and I'd had a quick skim through the emails each time without giving much real thought to it.

I suppose I figured I'd probably update my payment information and renew it closer to the time but then the time came and went and I received a 'payment failure' notice with the option to update my payment method and renew by no later than 10th January before my domain vanished into the abyss.

PUMPKIN, SPINACH AND LENTIL LASAGNE

With Halloween tomorrow, you can't move in the supermarket for Pumpkins but rather than carving mine this year (because I am not safe at that), I opted to cook with it instead.

I've been in love with Pinterest over the past few months, if you'd like to see what I've been pinning please do give that a follow, and have come across countless delicious sounding and looking recipes. This lasagne is a take on a recipe I found over on there with a few tweaks to better suit me.

MY LOVE FOR OCADO & TOP VEGGIE/VEGAN PICKS

Image result for ocado

So, for some reason a few months ago, I received an email into my inbox inform me that Ocado were now delivering in my area. I guess I must have signed up for alerts way back and totally forgotten, but in any event, I decided to have a bit of a nosy on their site and see what they had to offer above and beyond my usual Sainsbury's delivery service.
